Caves in Krabi

Wat Tham Sua is located about 5 kilometres north of Krabi Town. Inside the cave there are what appear to be tiger paw prints in the stone. Also the sight of a famous hilltop temple shire, recommended for day tour. Tham Sua or "Tiger Cave Temple"

There are a few more notable caves for the spelunker in you. Because of the famous krast limestone cliffs of Krabi nearly every major piece of rock has a cave to explore.

Tham Sadet is located at Ban Nong Kok, Tambon Sai Thai, 7 kilometres from Krabi town on Highway No. 4034. It is a beautiful cave with stalactites and stalagmites. In 1909 the future King Rama VI visited the cave here, earning it the title "Sadet" indicating the presence of royalty.

Tham Phi Hue To/Hualok is a large cave with many grottos and prehistoric drawings of animals and people. Accessible by boat from the town pier, the cave rests on a hill surrounded by water and mangroves. Located in Krabitown's famous iconic rocks.

Tham Lod Neua and Tham Lod Tai. The latter is a long narrow limestone tunnel with stalactites and stalagmites and a boulder shaped like the quarter moon lying on its side. The cave can be visited when the water is low by boarding a longtail boat.

Tham Petch cave, so named because the cave's walls are of a stone that reflects light like a diamond, named Diamnond Cave

Tham Phra Nang Nok, the Outer Princess Cave; the Inner Princess Cave is called Tham Phra Nang Nai. This is named after a mythical princess Nang. Located at the South side of Ao Phra Nang Beach.

Tham Prah cave, the site of the Khao Prah Suhn Yah Tah Rahm Meditation Centre, named Monk Cave

Wat Tham Seua, or Tiger Cave Temple most popular and developed for easy exploration the cave complex is well lite and even has meditation chambers.
